A Long Road To Get Here

Hello, I'm Jake Platt. For over three decades, I've dedicated my life to martial arts, fitness, and life coaching. Through my experiences, I've developed the MORPH Method - a unique approach that has helped thousands achieve lasting transformation in their health and lives. Let me share my story with you.

Finding My Path Through Martial Arts

I grew up in a small town in New Jersey, where life wasn't always easy. From a young age, I faced significant challenges that tested my resilience. Looking back, I realize these experiences, though difficult, were shaping me for my future mission - helping others overcome their own obstacles.

After a brief stint in the Marine Corps, I discovered martial arts. It was more than just a sport; it became my sanctuary and the catalyst for profound personal change. In 1993, I took a leap of faith and opened my first Taekwondo school in Seattle. Little did I know, this was just the beginning of a lifelong journey dedicated to helping others transform their lives.

Evolving My Vision for Wellness

As I grew in my practice and understanding of fitness and wellness, my approach continuously evolved. From 1993 to 2005, I owned and taught Taekwondo, dedicating myself to honing my skills as an instructor and mentor. These years were crucial in shaping my understanding of discipline, perseverance, and the mind-body connection.

In 2005, I took a significant step forward by opening a gym in Greenlake, WA. This new venture allowed me to introduce hybrid training methods, combining the discipline of martial arts with modern fitness techniques. It was here that I began to see the potential for a more comprehensive approach to health and wellness.

The year 2007 marked another pivotal moment in my journey. I embraced the CrossFit movement, recognizing its potential to transform lives through high-intensity, functional fitness. But I didn't stop there. I saw an opportunity to integrate nutrition principles with this powerful training methodology, creating a more holistic approach to fitness and well-being.

The Birth of MORPH Method

Driven by a desire to deepen my understanding of nutrition's role in overall health, I spent 2010 immersing myself in advanced nutritional studies. I had the privilege of learning from industry experts like Robb Wolf, whose insights into the Paleo diet and evolutionary health principles significantly influenced my approach.

The culmination of this journey came in 2019 when I obtained my life coaching certification. This training opened my eyes to the crucial role of mindset in achieving lasting health and wellness. It led me to develop a more comprehensive approach, one that addresses not just the physical aspects of health, but also the mental and emotional components that are so often overlooked.

Each of these experiences and transitions built upon the last, gradually shaping my vision for what true wellness could be. It was this evolution that ultimately led to the creation of the MORPH Method - a holistic approach that encompasses everything I've learned about achieving lasting transformation in health and life.
